| Nevada City Christmas Faire |
| Each year the Sierra Nevada foothill town of Nevada City
has a Christmas Faire with plenty of food, fun, crafts, and music. |
The streets fill with visitors from near and far.
Many dress in period costumes. |
As evening falls Nevada City just about doubles in
size.
Glenn found two pieces of art for his home. One
colored pencil piece and the other an etching. |
Canine visitors are welcomed too.
This is quite possibly the biggest dog I've ever seen. |
A street vendor sells his puzzle rings.
The rings are very reasonably priced, but the
instructions for how to put them back together are expensive! |
And what is a street faire without a clown making balloon
animals!
It looks like the green dog was just what this fellow wanted. |
The harpist plays angelic music while little devils
play with her harp. |
Love them or hate them, there is nothing quite like the
sound of the pipes and drums. |
Some locals watch the parade of tourists go by.
I think the one in the middle has spotted Santa Claus. |
Yes indeed, there is Kris Kringle, Mrs. Kringle, and one
of the many children who stopped by in an attempt to explain that broken
cookie jar from last May. |
