Jordan always wants to fish in any body of water. This is Lodi
Lake just a few blocks from my cousin's home.
My cousin (actually second cousin once removed) lives in a
typical suburban home. Lodi is a small town about an hour's drive
from our home. Many of the Germans who lived in Russia settled
there.
Ruby and her husband Wilbert. Very nice people and
always friendly. I showed them photographs of my trip and the map
showing the location of Gnadental, the German village where my family
lived in Ukraine. It is located between Saratav and Artiz, Ukraine.
No visit to Ruby's would be compete without food.
Ruby made a large lunch for us. Here we are enjoying strawberry
rhubarb pie.
