After leaving the ships in New Bedford, and rock in Plymouth, we departed Cape Cod and continued through Quincy and Boston to Salem.
A short side trip to Quincy gave us time to visit the homes of John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams.  John Adams helped write the Declaration of Independence with Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin.  Both Adams' were presidents.  We stopped at the former home of John Hancock that had been converted into a boy's prep school in the 1800's.

Just outside of Plymouth dad found one of his favorite kinds of places to eat.

Since most witches are a little shy, Jordan and Austin visited the museum instead.

Dad needed to go to Boston to attend the convention, so Jordan and Austin stayed behind in Salem.

Witches or no, they had a great time checking out all of the sights.  Calling dad on the cell phone every hour on the hour kept everyone in touch.  Personal walkie talkies kept them together.  The witches museum had a great display and they learned all the history.

Dad was late getting home, so dinner for the boys was at the hotel dining room.  The best clam chow'da they ever had.  First time on their own in a strange city, and all went fine.
